Biography
About Mark Schorr
Born and raised in New York City, Mark began his career as a theatrical stage manager, gaining early experience in organization, communication, and leadership behind the scenes. He later moved into restaurant management with a large New York hospitality company, learning firsthand what it takes to manage teams, operations, and customer experience at scale.
Mark also served as President of a Co-op Board on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and later as a member of an HOA Board in Morris County, New Jersey, where he focused on transparency, resident engagement, and long-term financial planning.
After moving to New Jersey, Mark managed stores for Costco and Target, then transitioned into financial services, managing teams for several large banks. For the past nine and a half years, he has been a General Manager with Wawa, leading a team dedicated to service, community, and operational excellence.
Mark and his wife Karen — a retired nurse practitioner — have four children and one grandchild. They lived in Jefferson for 21 years before moving to Lake Mohawk in January.
In addition to his professional background, Mark is a high school sports official for football, basketball, lacrosse, and girls flag football. When he’s not on the field or volunteering around the lake, he can often be found watching his beloved (and often frustrating) New York Jets.
